Safari Helpful Tips

1. WHAT TO BRING

• CAMERA to capture memorable memories
• Pair of binoculars as our land is wide and Vast
• Favourable clothes. You need shorts,tshirts or light trousers for day time. Neutral tones like baige, khaki and brown don’t show dirt and dust.
• Wide Brimmed hat- shade from the sun and should have straps to avoid been blown off
• Walking boots for the bush walks and mountain climbing also for your safety while walking
• RE-USABLE water bottle

• Scanned copy of your passport, the page with your photo
• Scanned copy of your passport photo
• Copy of your safari program
• Your email
• Your telephone number
• Your home address
• Your spouse full names
• First point entry in Kenya e.g airport
• Charges are USD 51 plus credit card charges

3. WHAT I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE MY TRAVEL TO KENYA

• Kenya has 02 seasons, DRY and WET
• Long Rains (Wet Season): March – May
• Short Rains (Wet Season): October – December
• Dry Season: January – February and June – September

4. KENYAN CURRENCY IS KENYA SHILLING KSH.

• There are exchange bureaus and banks where you can change foreign currency.
• Ensure to carry clean, uncut and not marked notes for the foreign exchange.
• ATMS are also easily available for all major credit/debit cards

5. HEALTH AND SAFETY

• Emergency number in Kenya is 999 toll free
• Ensure you have all your vaccinations up to date
• Consult your doctor before travelling and especially if visiting malaria prone areas in Kenya

• Photography – always ask for consent before taking a picture it’s also a great way to start a conversation
• Avoid giving gifts instead ask us about our “pack for a purpose”
